Affiliate links
Affiliate marketing platforms typically require a specific identifier to be added to your URLs to identify which affiliate brought traffic to your website.
These identifiers are similar to the tokens used by Discount Ninja (for Discount URL based promotions) and can be combined.
Combining tokens
Suppose your affiliate links look as follows:
Find the token for your promotion (not applicable for automatic discount promotions) as described here. We'll assume in this example that the token of your promotion is TYAOR.
Combine the tokens as follows:
https://mydomain.com/page?affiliate=abc&token=tyaor
https://mydomain.com/page?affiliate=xyz&token=tyaor
Or the other way around (both formats accomplish the same result):
https://mydomain.com/page?token=tyaor&affiliate=abc
https://mydomain.com/page?token=tyaor&affiliate=xyz
Note the question mark (?) that separates the URL and the query parameters that follow. Also not the ampersand (&) that splits each query parameter.
